Macy's Win your Dream Registry Sweepstakes

IMG_4604-1.JPG

It's here!  The Macy's Win your Dream Registry sweepstakes is happening now!!  Five lucky winners will have the chance to win all items in their registry, up to $5,000!!  If you want to have a chance at winning, all you have to do is create a qualifying Macy's registry of $500 or more and fill out the entry form.  If you already have a Macy's registry, you can still enter to win, just be sure to fill out the entry form as having a registry alone will not automatically enter you in the sweepstakes.  Sweepstakes period is 6/1/18 - 6/30/18

I feel like Macy's is the traditional place to have a registry because they have such a wide variety of items for your home from top brands like Lauren Ralph Lauren and Michael Aram.  Some of the benefits or registering with Macy's are that you get 1) A Newlywed Discount- 20% off most remaining items on your registry for up to 6 months after the wedding, 2) It's your one-stop Wedding Shop for all things wedding - from outfits for events (wedding shower, engagement photos, rehearsal dinner) to luggage for your honeymoon, to wedding bands when exchanging vows, etc. and much, much more!!

Jamie and I have gotten our hands on some awesome pieces for our bedroom that we are super excited about and have pictured and linked them below.  Since we are in the middle of remodeling our bedroom, we needed some more decorative pieces and some pieces to help brighten up the room.  We opted for some faux flowers (because I can't be bothered with taking care of real ones) for our night stand, as well as a grey blanket from Madison Park and grey sheets from Lauren Ralph Lauren.

My Wedding

I can't believe I did it and it's done!  There is so much that goes into a wedding.  Things are always different until you experience it yourself-  that goes for my wedding.  I remember people would always tell me how stressful it was, how much work it is, how annoying the little details are, but how much they really matter, etc.  For this blog post, I've teamed up with WeddingWire once again to let you in on all the little details about my wedding- from where I bought my table overlays to where I got my rehearsal dinner dresses.  Before moving on, if you're planning a wedding and not sure about budget, WeddingWire has launched a Wedding Cost Guide- the first of its kind- so that' you'll know what to expect and set a realistic budget that's right for you!

WHITE DRESSES: I bought a bunch of white dresses for my Bridal shower, rehearsal dinner, etc.  Below are the dresses I bought along with some others that I used and wished I bought!  Click HERE for the dress worn below.  Flower crown by @pualanicrown.

I opted for a sheer, elegant and sexy at the same time bridal gown by Ines di Santo and heels by Aquazzura.  Choosing my heels for the wedding was probably my favorite part.  I've linked the ones I chose as well as some really close contenders.  I am extremely happy with the heels I chose because they are reusable even after the wedding.

For my jewelry, I wanted a more modern, hip look to go with my dress so I chose faux diamond Pave hoops from Nadri.  I also bought some diamond halo studs just in case I changed my mind on the look and to use for other formal activities.

Money Saving Find: I knew I wanted a long cathedral veil, but nothing too busy that would take away form the dress.  While purchasing my wedding dress, I had tried on a simple tulle, raw edge veil with a comb for over $300 that I loved, but I didn't feel it was worth that much,  I found the exact same thing on Etsy for around $60 and was ecstatic about my money-saving find!  I also found a lacey garter on Etsy too!

Since Saipan is warm and humid, I knew I wanted a more breathable reception dress.  I looked into having my reception dress custom made, but I didn't want to spend the extra money on something I knew I could find elsewhere.  Since My wedding gown was delicate and lacy, I wanted something completely different and suitable for a party.  I went with an all sequin gown by Dress the Population.  I've linked this dress along with some other similar ones that I tried.

As gifts for my bridesmaids, I loved the idea of chic, personalized robes that they could also wear after the wedding so I went on Etsy and had each of their names embroidered onto the back of black robes.  I also got myself a white robe with black glitter with my new name, "Mrs. Pacheco".  I also gifted each of them one of my favorite necklaces from Amanda Deer.

Since the theme of my wedding was mostly white, I wanted to break it up by adding some touches of gold for the table overlays.  I purchased all my overlays from Urquid Linen.  They are based in LA, but have everything available to order online.  If you're not sure what size of overlay to purchase, ask your venue or your wedding planner.  I went with a 72x72 square overlay which covered the table halfway on the sides.  I had round tables that seated 8-10 people per table.  I wanted some glam and sparkle, but still a delicate look so I chose a lace sequin overlay called the Claire.  I've searched and searched online and Urquid was the only online site that had every fabric and overlay that you would want and that you see on Pinterest!  Also, it is good to note that the colors vary a lot.  I went with an ivory color, but I almost chose champaign.  In person, the champaign was more brown than I wanted.  The ivory was the subtle color I was looking for between gold and champagne.

An aisle runner is a nice, personalized touch to any wedding.  I've searched high and low and went with Starry Night Design Studio.  I went with a preferred runner, 48 x 4 x 4, style FN04 painted on with gold glitter.

Since I had guests traveling from all over, I wanted to have welcome bags prepared.  I asked my invitation lady, Rachel Marvin, to create a logo for me that matched my invitations.  I also used this logo for my ceremony program booklets as well.  I purchased my welcome bags from 4imprint and they were such a pleasure to work with.  I went with a 15 x 15 natural cotton economy tote.

Our ceremony program booklets were ordered through printland.  The cover was printed on 8.5 x 11 semi gloss card stock.

The Little Details

Every year the same saying goes... "Where has the time gone?"  It is now December, and what was a time that I thought would never come is now too soon approaching.  I leave for my wedding on December 13 (next week, a month before the actual wedding) and probably the most daunting task to date are all the little details that really do matter.  As I look through the WeddingWire checklist, I realize there are still things that need to get done like locking down a DJ, band, rehearsal dinner reservations, and more.  Thankfully, I am able to get those things squared away when I get to Saipan.  What I wanted to share with you today are some of the little details and inspiration I drew from that helped pave the way for the look and feel of the wedding.
